St Louis Again

I apologize to our faithful readers for the delay in posting pictures. Here are some pictures from our most recent trip to St Louis. I love these weekend getaways and it’s a great way to hang out with our family because the drive and time commitment is shorter for everyone. On this visit we met up with Mom and Richard and my brother, Chris and his wife and 3 kids. It was fun for us to plan a trip geared for elementary aged kids and it was so cool to compare and contrast Aaron and Audrey with the last time we visited St Louis. It has been less than a year, but they are able to do so many more things now! The last time we went to the zoo Audrey could say “monkey!” but this time both kids could look at animals and say things like “zebra eating carrot!”

Another really cool place to visit is the St Louis Children’s Museum. My best-friend-from-high-school-Charity (who, incidentally in my life does not go by the name Charity, but is always preceded with the slightly elevated title of my-best-friend-from-high-school-Charity could only meet up with us for a few minutes when we visited town this time, but she did offer to get us in to the museum for FREE!! It would have been pricey to go with such young kids for a fee, but it worked out perfectly. There were so many cool things to do I don’t even know where to start. Aaron loved the place where you can change the tires on the car, and both kids loved the water table area, the doll house, the sand table, and the totally kid sized play GROCERY STORE. We also discovered how completely handy it is to dress our kids in the same color so we can find them more easily in a crowd. (I actually really like doing this fairly often. Maybe not totally matched, but in coordinating colors.)

If that’s not enough, we also visited the Science museum and had fun as a family putting together the big soft blocks that fit together to make an arch
