More words and the magic poop
posted by nathan

Audrey's on a role right now, learning new words.  This week she said the following;

  • Tickle tickle (as she pretended to tickle herself on the foot)
  • Shovel (I don't know why she said this, but we were talking about the shovel Aaron likes to play with, and suddenly Audrey said loud and clear, "Shovel!")
  • Dum ditty dum (the rhyme from one of her books -- really it sounded more like "dum dee dum dee" but we knew what she meant
  • And last night, Sara taught her "Up" and "Down" -- I'm not sure if she understands what they mean, but she sure likes to say them.  (particularly Up)

She also accomplished something amazing and magical yesterday -- while Sara was out shopping, I went to get Audrey up from a "not nap" (she laid in bed jabbering for over an hour, so I eventually gave up and went to get her), but when I got there, the sheet of her crib was covered in little globs of poop! YUCK!  But the amazing part -- her clothes were clean and still on.  Under her outfit, her diaper was spotless, and still properly on.  She didn't have any poop on her or clothes at all.  But the bed was covered.  How she managed that, I'll never know.
