Nine Months Old
posted by Aaron and Audrey

Audrey: I want to tell you about all the new things I’m doing now that I’m nine months old. First off, I’m crawling.

Aaron: Haven’t you been crawling for months now?

Audrey: Yes, but there must be different stages of crawling, because at first I just got the hands and knees part down, then I added some gracefulness to the operation, now I just like to go really really fast. The best part is when I see Mommy go for the nursing pillow, I can crawl up to wherever she’s going so I can be first in line! Plus, I can even crawl over my brother.

Aaron: Good trick! Well, I want everyone to know that I’m crawling, too. But I don’t find it necessary to do it gracefully. I prefer a bit of plodding along. Our parents think it’s so cute when we crawl around together. They are so incredibly easy to entertain!

Audrey: I know. They think it’s great when I stand up, or when I clap my hands.

Aaron: But they especially like it when we talk to each other or laugh together or play tickling games.

Aaron: What would they possibly do if we weren’t around to entertain them?
